Service Unit Camporees
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont defines a camporee as a multiple group camping experience of 24 or more consecutive hours, planned and carried out by a community of Girl Scouts, troops and volunteers, where a minimum of TWO all-camp activities are offered to bring together the camp community.
Activities at a Girl Scout camporee are oriented towards building character and leadership while having fun and helping the community at the same time. They might include: earning a patch or badge verifying that they improved skills in a certain area, playing a variety of games, having a traditional campfire with skits and s'mores and doing a community service project.
Activities vary from camp to camp. Please check the site descriptions to see what is offered at each location.
For all controlled-risk activities, fill out the activity request form for the camp you will be at.
All camporee forms and fees may be submitted in one of three ways:
- E-mail with credit card information directly to Camping Services Manager, Andi York
- Fax with credit card information directly to Andi York 336-369-7476
- Regular mail with check (payable to GSCP2P):
