Summer 2020 Program Options
Join us this summer at Circle C Equestrian Center and learn to ride a horse, progress in your riding skills or earn a horse related badge. We have several options to meet your schedule and commitment interests. Programs at the barn will go through August 7th, 2020.

Riding Lessons
Weekly Lessons
We will match you with a Riding Instructor and a small group of students of similar age and experience. Set goals and progress and build your riding skills throughout the summer. Weekly lesson students will be eligible to participate in special Saturday programs and Horse Show opportunities. First time riders are welcome! Please email: circlec@girlscoutsp2p.org
Single Riding Lessons
Have you taken one of our Virtual Junior Horseback Riding Badge Workshops and need to fulfill your riding requirement? This program is for you! Do you have a family member or friend who has always wanted to ride but doesn’t want to make a summer commitment? This would be a great opportunity for them to fall in love with horseback riding. Specialty Riding Series
Our Specialty Riding Series are perfect for first time riders! (4 riders maximum, $100 per Level)
Brownies (2nd-3rd Grade)
Learn the basic riding positions and control of the horse, then learn about and play games on horseback.
Mondays 3:00-4:30pm July 6, 13 and 20.
Wednesdays 1:30-3:00pm July 8, 15 and 22.
Juniors (4th-5th Grade)
Learn the basic riding positions and control of the horse, then take your new skills out on the trail!
Tuesdays 3:00-4:30pm July 7, 14, 21.
Thursdays 1:30-3:00pm July 9, 16, 23.
Cadette/Senior/Ambassador (6th-12th Grade)
Learn the basic riding positions and control of the horse, and then take your balanced seat and add some archery! Girls will learn and practice the exciting sport of Horseback Archery.
Wednesdays 3:00-4:30pm July 8, 15, 22.
Fridays 1:30-3:00pm July 10, 17, 24
Horse Badge Workshops
Horse Badge Workshops (4 participant maximum, $35 per person)
Daisies (K-1st Grade)
Daisy Badge Workshop – Making Choices
Let the horses help you learn about making choices about using money. Each Daisy will have the opportunity to interact with and ride a horse as they complete the requirements for the Making Choices Petal.

Brownies (2nd-3rd Grade)
Pony Pals – Brownie Horse Badge Workshop
This program is perfect for first time riders! Riders will learn to be safe around horses with the riding lesson covering the basic building blocks of riding. Riders will have maximum assistance during their riding time.
This program will help your Brownie complete the requirements for the GS of Middle Tennessee Riding Round up badge.

Junior Trails – Junior Horse Badge Workshop
Feeling confident? Let’s get out of the arena and take a trail ride! This program will help your Junior complete the requirements for the GSUSA Junior Horseback Riding Badge.

Equine Experience- Cadette Horse Badge Workshop
Learn or review the basic riding skills and then play some games on horseback. This program will help your Cadette complete the requirements for the GS of Middle TN Discovery: Horses-Cadette.

Equine Survey – Senior Horse Badge Workshop
Review your riding basics and then go out on a trail ride. This program will help your Senior complete the requirements for the GS of Middle TN Exploring Equines.

Equine Experience- Cadette Horse Badge Workshop & Equine Survey – Senior Horse Badge Workshop
Review your riding basics, play a game in the arena and then go out on a trail ride. This program will help your Cadette complete the requirements for the GS of Middle TN Discovery: Horses-Cadette and your Senior complete the requirements for the GS of Middle TN Exploring Equines.

Horse Sense (This is a non-riding program) Cadette & Senior Horse Badge Workshop
Equine Facilitated Learning is a dynamic way of learning about yourself and others. Let the natural behavior of horses help your group explore topics like leadership, group dynamics and team building.
This program will help your Cadette and Senior complete the requirements for the GS Middle TN Horse Smart Leadership.

Horseback Archery
Horseback Archery (4 riders maximum, $70 per person)
Cadette and up (6th-12th Grade)
Learn to be a real life Merida! After you are comfortable and safe on the ground handling bows and arrows, we will try it from a rocking horse and then one of our fantastic archery horses. By the end of our time together, you will be riding, shooting and hitting the target, no previous experience required.
